Have
you ever met this situation? After you refilled your TN760 Compatible Toner cartridges, your printer didn’t recognize it as new! What
happened? What to do next? Well, you need to reset your tn760 toner cartridge.
It’s
very frustrating when you refill your printer with a new toner cartridge but it
still remains the same mark. Actually, this is how most printers work. You need
to take more steps before your printer works again with the new tn760 toner
cartridge.
Step 1: Insert
your new tn760 toner cartridge
For
the purpose of printer recognition, you need to insert the new brother tn760 toner
cartridge into your printer. After printing an alignment page, the printer will
recognize the new cartridge. However, the memory of previous cartridge still
retained in your printer, the ink level still reads as before.
Step 2: Replace
the new brother tn760 with an old one and do it again
Generally,
printers can keep the memory of two cartridges. So next you should do is to “trick”
your printer so that it will read the new cartridge. First, replace the new
cartridge with an old one and then replace the old one with another cartridge,
then the memory of the old toners will disappear.
Step 3: Insert
your new tn760 toner cartridge again
Refill
your new tn760 toner cartridge into your printer again, and this time your
printer will recognize the new cartridge as full. Then take it out and tape
over the top left-corner of the contact square and let it print an alignment
page. Next, take the cartridge out again, tape over the upper-right corner,
then put it back and print another alignment page. Take it out for the third
time and refill without tape. This time, your printer will recognize the new brother
tn760 toner cartridge as full.
Step 4: Do it
again if it’s not working
If
your printer is stubborn and it still doesn’t work after you did all above
steps, then you’ll need to do that again, maybe few more times.
It
can be very painstaking to reset a new brother tn760 toner cartridge especially
your printer is very stubborn. But once you’re getting familiar with it, it
will be much easier to do the replacement.
